Africa winner Ethan Zohn has documented his
journey in

Morasca, winner of Survivor: Amazon, have been

Location |
Shaba National Reserve in
Kenya. 70 kms north of Mount Kenya.
Vegetation: Acacia woodlands, bushlands, and grasslands.
Local People: The Samburu tribe is part of the Maasai
group. The Samburu are semi-nomadic pastoralists who move
seasonally with their cattle, along with a few sheep and goats. Boys
take the animals out to graze during the day, and herd them back
inside their homesteads at night. Cattle are wealth to the Samburu,
and are never eaten or sold.
Fauna: grevy's zebra, giraffe, cheetah, leopard, oryx,
lion, gazelle, elephant
The two original tribes of Survivor: Africa were Samburu and
Boran. Eventually the two were merged into the Moto Maji tribe. |
